Yarn Bombing

I’ve never been involved with yarn bombing (unfortunately I don’t knit or crochet). But I love the look of it and the fact that keen knitters and crocheters take over a street or a specific site and cover it with yarn. The Arts Centre where I work was ‘yarn bombed’ a few years ago, and we still have a chair in the cafe that is covered by this work.

Last week we took a family trip to Kent and I was delighted to see this example of yarn bombing along the pier at Herne Bay.

Seeing all this work really brightened up a dull – and windy – day!
